Bio
My interest for media has always been that of a strong one. Its roots stem from my interest in good design of products, brands and the world around us.
I began to develop my skills in media production specifically when I and others in my local church formed and pioneered a Media Team. Within the team I and others input into design and promotion of the church. I personally input and created the three versions of their web site and a brand identity. Also over the years created CD and DVD covers, publications, posters and advertising and teaching tools, as well as the technical side of media such as the day to day running of the web site and promotion through and of it. This was where I learned the ideas and implications of media including its impact on people and groups.
Furthermore, out of the church I have created works for a finance company including web site development and branding, school projects and Event promotions.
Qualifications include 4 A Levels of which I have an 'A' Media Studies and I also have 11 GSCE's. I currently attend BCU where I study Media and Communication specialising in Web and New Media.
At university I have created many projects as part of my course from the MyTurf Project to Skint Magazine. Also I am the Marketing/Events Officer for BCU LGBT, where I created the identity and marketing of the group. This includes the website, posters and freshers’ pack.
I am currently under going projects including "Behind the Music", "Birchfield Harriers " and "The Wheldon School and Sports College"
Quotes
Adam is an outstandingly talented student with great design skills, an understanding of web and design technology, and a grasp of the creative potential of social media too. I'd snap him up and pay him lots of money if I were you!
Paul Bradshaw (Online Journalism Blog)
Adam is a very polite, quick-thinking self-starter. He has a mature attitude towards problem solving, and keeps a calm head in situations where others could become flustered. It was a pleasure to have him work with Times Online, and he contributed significantly during his time here
